The Fleet World Fleet Show 2014 will return in April.
The return of the Fleet Show in 2014 is already creating something of a buzz among fleet managers across the UK, as the event’s organisers claim it will be bigger and better than ever.
Set to take place on April 9th at the iconic Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire, the Fleet World Fleet Show 2014 will offer an array of treats for visitors, including track driving experiences, indoor exhibitions, technology demonstrations, off-road driving, a conference and seminar area and much more.
It is one of the biggest events in the UK for the fleet sector and will see some of the biggest names in the automotive sector showcasing their latest models and designs to the eager crowds.
Guests will have the chance to get up close and personal with their favourite marques, while at the same time building a strong network of contacts with businesses within their own industry, suppliers, manufacturers and designers.
They will also be given an insight into the future developments in the sector that are likely to have an impact on their own fleet services over the coming years.
Fleet Show organiser Ross Durkin said: “We live in an age where internet and email has taken some of the personal contact out of the fleet business arena, but there’s still no substitute for face-to-face meetings and genuine business networking.
“The buzz in the halls at this year’s Fleet Show was amazing at times and our aim in 2014 is not only to reproduce this vibrant business environment, but also to build on the success of the 2013 show by adding a number of further attractions.”
New features for 2014 will include the splitting of the track facilities to provide a wider array of experiences for visitors, with the Stowe, National and International circuits all providing separate events for guests to enjoy.
A purpose-built off-road course is set to be opened for visitors in 2014, enabling people to pit their off-road skills against a challenging track under the watchful tuition of experienced instructors.
Moreover, the Stowe circuit is set to host an array of new vehicle technology demonstrations, highlighting improvements and developments manufacturers have made over the last year in areas like efficiency and safety, as well as providing key insights into where the industry is heading in the future.
In addition, The Fuelcard People will be returning to the venue in 2014 – find us at stand A10 in Hall 1 – with visitors able to witness firsthand the many benefits of our MileageCount product in helping businesses to better manage their stringent mileage recording responsibilities.
It works with any size of fleet and offers three levels of sophistication for subscribers, with functions including automated service reminders, DVLA licence checking for drivers, event and vehicle alerts, refuelling data, MOT and insurance renewal notes, clear and accurate business and private mileage usage and much more.
The Fleet Show 2014 will also host the final of the ALD Automotive Fleet Driver of the Year competition; the top ten nominees for next year’s award are set to battle it out in a range of skilled driving challenges in front of the expectant crowds.
Last year’s victor Paul Cook from Galliford Try noted it was an excellent experience that really highlighted the benefits that can be achieved for fleets through safer and more efficient driving styles.
Mel Dawson, managing director for ALD Automotive, told Fleet News: “Fleets may be funded in the most tax efficient way and use the most fuel efficient cars available, but when the keys are handed over, it’s driving behaviour that has the biggest influence on cost, risk and CO2 output.”
Occupying Halls 1, 2 and 3 of the Silverstone Wing complex, the show expects larger visitor numbers than ever before next year – building on a 40 per cent upturn in guests in 2013.
Senior decision makers with fleet operators across the UK will be invited to examine the latest models from across the traditional power spectrum – petrol and diesel – as well as being encouraged to check out an array of electric, hybrid and fuel cell models that could have a significant impact on their overall fleet emissions and efficiency in the future.
Overall, the Fleet World Fleet Show 2014 promises to be a fantastic day out for all fleet managers and even just for those individuals who wish to get a heads up on the latest developments within the industry.
“Our aim is to provide an event that is exciting, interesting and memorable and one which has the right balance between serious educational content, effective fleet networking, interesting fleet services and hands-on driving experiences,” Mr Durkin concluded.
