Mercedes-Benz witnessed a frenetic start to 2013, with its models proving extremely popular among buyers during the course of last month.
According to the company's latest figures, the manufacturer enjoyed a 7.4 per cent rise in vehicle registrations across its range of models in January this year in comparison to the same month in 2012.
Some of the best-performing vehicles were the A-Class, AMG brand and C-Class models.
Marcus Breitschwerdt, president and chief executive officer of Mercedes-Benz UK, commented: "We begin 2013 re-energised, with great momentum and as the fastest growing performance brand – a great start and one everyone in my team at Mercedes-Benz UK will be working hard to sustain."
Meanwhile, Mercedes-AMG earlier this month announced the launch of its new C 63 AMG "Edition 507" model – featuring a tuned engine delivering 507 bhp and a top speed of 177 mph as a result, accelerating from zero to 62 in under 4.2 seconds.
