The FleetWorld Fleet Show is to take place this week and will highlight the advantages of Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) technology for fleet managers across the UK.

Designed to eliminate low-speed collisions when travelling at less than 20 mph, AEB is able to detect an imminent collision and apply the brakes to a vehicle in order to avoid an accident taking place.

The system could have significant benefits for businesses up and down the UK, helping to reduce the amount of accidents, as well as positively impacting on insurance premiums for vehicles.

AEB is now installed as standard in many models, with FleetWorld hoping to boost uptake of these cars in order to make the roads a safer place in the coming years.

The news follows the recent launch of Honda's new City Brake system, with the technology working to warn motorists of impending low-speed collisions and then taking automatic action to brake the vehicle if the driver does not take action.
