British Car Auctions (BCA) has revealed the cost of fuel remains one of the biggest concerns for UK used car buyers, despite the latest announcement of a scrapping of plans to increase fuel duty.
According to the organisation's research, 60 per cent of respondents highlighted the cost of petrol and diesel as their top motoring issue at present.
In total, 63 per cent of those polled said they had cut back on the use of their vehicle over the last year due to mounting fuel bills, with 45 per cent claiming they now walk more instead of driving.
However, BCA spokesman Tim Naylor commented: "The postponement of the fuel duty increase, combined with a general reduction in fuel prices in recent weeks will come as a relief to many motorists."
Chancellor George Osborne made the announcement of the government U-turn in a regular session of Treasury questions in the House of Commons yesterday (June 26th).
