The Jaguar XF has been named this year's most popular executive car by readers of motoring publication Honest John.

Readers of the magazine demonstrated the highest level of interest in the model over the last 12 months, based on the more than 1.5 million users visiting the honestjohn.co.uk site.

Dan Harrison, editor of honestjohn.co.uk, said: "Its blend of style, class and quality has big appeal among our audience and we have regular emails from XF owners."

He added that the XF beat off strong competition from a number of top contenders this year, including the Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series.

Jeremy Hicks, managing director at Jaguar Land Rover UK, added the award is a true reflection of the company's success in capturing the imagination of the UK public.

The XF is a stylish and comfortable performance vehicle, delivering combined fuel consumption of up to 52.3 mpg, coupled with a top speed of 140 mph and acceleration of zero to 62 mph in just eight seconds.
