The new Maserati Quattroporte has been named this year's Best of the Best Sedan by US lifestyle publication the Robb Report.

Covering 26 categories, the Best of the Best Awards aim to highlight the top products in the world across six departments – wheels, style, journeys, leisure, Home and wings & water.

The new Quattroporte was named among these high-flying products, building on the outstanding performance of its predecessor model, which itself garnered no fewer than 57 awards during its ten-year lifespan.

Earlier this month, Fleet World Honours also highlighted some of the standout vehicles of the year so far, including awards for Vauxhall's Zafira Tourer and Combo models and Citroen's Nemo and Berlingo Electric.

Fleet World managing editor Ross Durkin commented: "The industry has been undergoing substantial change for some time and we are now on the cusp of seeing the introduction of some really exciting new technologies."
